I had a blast with this bag. The bag is peyote 4135 seed beads with 12 swarovski crystals one on each of the points. The necklace part is single spiral. It did not photo well but the eye holes have lights that glow which can be seen real well in the evening. The light power supply is contained in the bag. The handle to the mask is applied on top of the bag for a 3-D effect. The points on the bag extend all away around the top to and then there are 4 on the bottom.

The mask part was inspired by Ms. Paula Morgan.

This piece has been floating around in my mind for several weeks until I finally decided how to do it. Golden Lights face is made by me from a mix of pearl and translucent Premo polymer clay and accented with gold. It is surrounded by an assortment of Metalic gold and silver seed beads, silver lined rocailles and bugles and a few larger metalics as accents, the necklace is a random mix of all beads strung on medium softflex with a toggle clasp. I have used a mix of stitches including Peyote, netting, and fringe along with a few I made up as I went. The Polymer cab is backed with ultra-suede to hide the holes made for the base row of stitching.

Masked Face Pendant Necklace

CONTEST Item #:

This pendant was created with one of Diane Briegleb's hand made faces. The face was used like a cabochon with bead embroidery, peyote stitch, fringing and lots of embellishment. The artistic coloring of the face suggested to me an ice and pearl look which I used throughout including the added mask. I completed the piece with a self beaded bail and a silver spiral beaded necklace. This would be a great piece to wear to the Masquerade Ball or any festive occasion.
