The piece is reversible with pearly white colored seed beads along one side and lovely amethyst colored seed beads on the other. The findings are a sterling silver toggle clasp and adorable pewter butterfly charm.

Gran's Butterfly Garden
My grandmother loved butterflies, especially one huge monarch that often
came to visit. When I was a child she found an old worn sundial and put
it in the backyard. Then she transplanted from nearby woods the
wildflowers the butterflies loved best to make herself a butterfly garden.
Last Spring I took MY grandchildren back to visit the gravesite near the old homestead, and we visited the butterfly garden...I couldn't believe it, it looked just as I remembered it. I have beaded this version of Gran's
Butterfly Garden, which is my Timeless Treasure. Thanks Jeannette Shanigan and Suzanne Cooper for permission to use your butterfly designs in my beadwork.

Garden Bracelet
The perfect project for a very gray, snowy winter! Using a pattern from a recent issue of Beadworks magazine (many thanks!), my dreams of summer bloomed in this bracelet. A base of vintage brown bugles and white cubes forms the fence slats, which are then fringed with czech seeds beads and vintage czech flower beads. An enameled button shaped like a lily pad complete with a frog makes the perfect clasp for this perpetually blooming garden.

Beads Used

vintage czech flowers, size 11 seed, cubes and vintage rectangular bugles, a ladybug bead and a few wonderbeads for dew drops!
