When I came
across this contest I wasn't sure what I would make, but
I
started the panels thinking that they would tell me how to
finish them.
While working on the second panel, I happened to lay
them together and
thought they would make a lovely watch strap.
So then came the challenge of
how to connect a watch face to it
and how to close it. First I found a watch
face so I would know
what I was dealing with and set it all together for
awhile and
decided that the watch would be too unstable without
something
behind it, but it needed to be flexible enough to be
able to change the
watch battery when required. So that's where
filling in the center section
with netting came from. The closure
is one that would normally be used with
a 3 or 6 strand
necklace. |
