| Evergreen
Angel Ornament |
Using a lovely,
deep green aventurine donut, I netted seed beads around the outside,
creating a "cage" to hold it and adding a double row of ruffles, the
outer row having crystals for sparkle and shine. The inner circle of
the back has a row of green drop beads, making the back as pretty as
the front. I then strung on the brass angel wings with a few gold
seed beads, along with a flat green flower bead for a collar, a
carved bone double-sided face bead, an upside-down satiny
translucent flower "hat", and a crystal "pom-pom" as a topper. A
jump ring for hanging finishes her off. Now I have a grace filled
ornament to add to my tree this year.

| Hocus Pocus
Mini Tapestry |
This truely is a
"mini" tapestry ready to decorate that last little nitch that needs
a little Halloween something.
With Halloween coming, and
thoughts of conjuring witches comes Hocus Pocus - but not too scarey
with its swirling hexagram of candy corn, bats, pumpkins, and
witches hats.
This tapestry is finished with a little rack
and a beaded hanger made of lots of Czech and Bali.

| Gold Stippled
Christmas Ornament |
Christmas is
coming and this amulet is ready with its solitary ornament making
its statement.
This one really shines, a green ball ornament
stippled with golden swirls. Lots of twisted fringe terminating in
crystals finishes the bottom. The strap is made of crystals, Czech,
Bali, and a single lampwork bead reminiscent of the ornament - plus
the strap is removable to become a necklace.

Christmas! |

| Memories of
Christmas |
| I beaded around a
glass bottle that was 1 1/2 inch in height. The beaded part is a
2.5" long piece of flat peyote, with patterns that harken back to
the old days of Christmas in my childhood. Mistletoe, Christmas
tree, and presents aplenty, what else would be perfect for a contest
called "Holiday Sensations"? |

| Medallion
Ornament |
| Using silver
lined gold and purple iris size 11 Japanese seed beads, I started
with flat circular netting to create 7 medallions. I connected them
and then netted both up and down adding purple cathedral beads for
the fringe. I had a very hard time getting a good picture of this
but this one almost shows it off properly. I don't cover the whole
ornament anymore because of breakage and don't you know it - I
dropped it right after I finished it and only had to put it on
another ornament ball! |
