 CONTEST RULES
Please read the rules carefully.
Each Entrant agrees to read, agree with & abide by these rules prior to entering the contest.
- Entry must be created with at least 400 beads.
Bead: A small, often round piece of material, such as glass, plastic, or wood, that is pierced for stringing or threading.
- Entry must be fit theme "Embellished House".
House: permanent shelter for human habitation. A structure serving as a dwelling for one or more persons, especially for a family.
Embellish: To make beautiful, as by ornamentation; decorate. To add ornamental or fictitious details to: a fanciful account that embellishes the true story.
Acceptable interpretation; a section or part of the "house" may be used. The viewer must get the feeling that a "house" is involved/present. The house may be a representation of a "Real" house or "Dream" house.
- Entry must include at least 2 "non bead" objects, such as sequins, buttons, charms, silk flowers, silk ribbon, cabochon,etc...
- Maximum Entry size: 3-1/4" Wide x 5" High or smaller.
Maximum Entry size: 3-1/4" High x 5" Wide or smaller.
(including any layered/extended embellishments).
- Minimum Entry size: 2-1/4" High x 3" Wide or larger.
Minimum Entry size: 2-1/4" Wide x 3" High or larger.
- Entry must have been completed on or after January 1, 2005.
- Designers at Bead-Patterns.com may enter.
Office staff at Sova-Enterprises.com may not enter.
- Entry has not been published in a book, magazine or other contest.
- Entrant is the CREATOR of the finishing idea and holds all legal rights to the entry.
If using a copyrighted pattern, it is the Entrant's responsibility to get the appropriate written permission for use.
- Entrant grants usage permission to Sova-Enterprises/Bead-Patterns.com for images, graphics and information provided.
- Number of Entries per entrant: 4

Entrant will provide 1 JPG or GIF file meeting the following specifications:
Make this image (JPG or GIF) the best you can. Be creative in presentation, 1 image can be a collage of 2-3-4 images, showing various angles or close ups of a specific
section.
1 image file, GIF or JPG will be displayed in the CONTEST GALLERY:
File name must be 8 characters or less with a dot and 3 letter extension of jpg. example: MGonzale.jpg or MGonzale.gif (no spaces or special characters).
Mode for JPG: RGB
Mode for GIF: Indexed (a gif file can be transparent)
Resolution: 72 DPI
Size: 5" x 5" or smaller (360 x 360 pixels)
File size: less than 30KB
*In the event the image (JPG or GIF) does not meet the proper specifications the image may be altered to meet the proper specifications by
the staff at Bead-Patterns.com.
**The graphic provided is important.. this along with the descriptive information will help voters to decide.

Entrant will provide the following information:
1. Entrant's Name (not to be displayed until Contest Voting is Closed).
2. Entrants mailing address, needed to mail prizes to entrants (will never be posted, given or traded without permission).
3. Country
4. Date entry was completed
5. Entry title
6. Entry description (should include information as to how the criteria was met).
7. Stitch(es) used for entry
8. Beads used in entry
9. Approximate finished size of entry
- Entrant understands the entry must be posted ino the Contest Gallery by the Entrant and entry(s) must be posted in the contest Gallery by: April 16, 2005 6:59 PM MST.
- A $10.00 entry fee is required, prior to the acceptance of each entry.
